- Defended a corporate borrower against foreclosures by Bank of America
totaling $36 million on land and buildings in New York and Florida,
resulting in a stipulation before trial for a loan workout benefiting the
borrower and saving the borrower over $6 million.
- Litigated on behalf of a home builder contract breaches by a national land
developer, resulting in a one month jury trial and a verdict in favor of our
client of over $8 million.
- Defended a borrower in an $8 million foreclosure, allowing the borrower
to retain possession of the property for several years, bringing a successful
appeal to overturn a foreclosure judgment and sale of the property.
The property was eventually sold by the client in an arms length transaction.
- Negotiated on behalf of our client country club the sale of excess land
in an $18 million transaction, allowing the construction of a new golf course
and complete renovation of the clubhouse.
- Created for our client an investment vehicle for the private placement
of funds secured by commercial mortgages.
- Acted as special counsel in a multimillion dollar divorce settlement
where the primary assets to the marriage were all nationwide real estate
based investments.
- Acted as special counsel to several institutional lenders and investors
regarding a multimillion dollar tax certificate dispute in Bankruptcy court
in Lee County, which resulted in a negotiated payout of the principal and
interest due to the clients.
- Negotiated on behalf of the landlord a very long term ground lease for
commercial development in West Palm Beach.
